Status updates via texts

Keeping tabs either  by cell phone texts or on the VHF radio when distance allows...

The Moon:

· 4:43 pm I text to everyone, “Hey all. We got a late start. Shaking things out here. Prob about 3 to 4 hrs behind al & patty. What time did mike & andy leave? We’ll monitor 16, 13 & 69.”
 

Bent:

· 4:48 p.m., Mike writes, “We r off Avalon. Picked up spin run in lower bay went close around cape may jibed once went to genoa currently close reaching on way to Atlantic city 23 miles away. Probably will go in if wind dies. Currently doing over 7 in 14 apparent.”
 

Full Circle:

· 6:53 p.m. Al and Patty text, “We are in cape may for the night.”
· 7:02 p.m. mike and andy are in atlantic city or they may have kept going. Where r u?

 

The Moon:

· 8:11 pm I write to all, “We stopped in DE City for some hose & ice. Ran into Terry & Ron there. Had a great visit! Hope you are all having a great night! Where is everyone?

Bent:

· 9:54 p.m. Mike reports, “We were going to go into ac but it was such a nice night we decided to push on. looks about 150 or so to go. Had a great sail all day today. Rounded cape may w/ breeze and chute jibed once and eventually went to 150 close reached in 12 to 14 w/ gusts to 17 in flat water.”
